I love the 4th of July. What better way to celebrate then spending all afternoon hiking and playing on the beach with my boyfriend and Wookie. It was a wonderful sunny day in Cannon Beach, and literally everyone and their dogs were on the beach. There were so many people in town. Here we go Cannon Beach.... 4th of July truly kicks off the Summer tourist season here. In celebratory firework words: BOOM!!!

I love, love, love this time of year. Wow, it always makes me smile when I think about Thanksgiving and Christmas time. I love the magic of the Holidays and everyone getting together and enjoying good food and drink and it's such a good time to year to give to the charities and people in need. Bridget Merriam is such a sweet girl. I had a blast taking her senior portraits, and the best part of it all was when Claire her sister came and joined up with us on the shoot, because those two girls, and two peas in a pod, just like my sister Rachel and I. Oh my gosh, Autumn and Derek, I cannot thank you enough for letting me spend an hour with you in Cannon Beach. What an amazing couple. It is so awesome to meet those couples who genuinely love each other and it shows. It's amazing to me to be around it. I love it. We had so much fun splashing in the Pacific Ocean and playing in the reeds. Check out some of my favorite photos below:

.funny photobooth stuff.

This past weekend Tyler and I shot a wedding in Bend, Oregon (photos to come shortly I promise!!!). One of the funnest parts of the wedding was that Lindsay and Geof (bride and groom) rented a photobooth from Bend Photo Lounge adorned with costumes and all. This added so much to the wedding, every 20 minutes or so you'd see someone new adorned with a fake mustache and crazy hat from the costume pile. It was so funny. I absolutely LOVE it when couples have a sense of humor. :) I loved working with Lindsay and Geof, so much fun!!!! :) :) :) Here are a couple shots Tyler and I took together.... lol!!!

I feel so incredibly blessed to live in one of the most beautiful towns on the Oregon Coast. Cannon Beach has been a favorite vacation spot since I was a very little girl. Cannon Beach holds a special place in my heart, and always will. It's amazing to absolutely LOVE and thrive where you live!!!! :) :) :) Big smiles all around.

Tokyo is such a crazy city. WOW!!!! Seriously, so nuts. We were only visiting for about 3 days, but I felt like we were there for so much longer, we did EVERYTHING. Even my legs were sore when we got back on the bus to Matsumoto. Crazy trip... so much fun!!!! I love traveling and Tokyo's the bomb.

With fall just around the corner, and school back in full swing my seniors of this year have officially started, so to kick them off, Here are a few of my favorites of Nick Delgado. This is an amazing young man. He's the ASB President and a Varsity football star!!!! I rarely have days off, especially days off that I get to spend with my family. My poor little sister was the only one who couldn't make it out to the Oregon zoo for the day. The 'Rents, Jesse and Melisse and the kids and my Aunt Dana and my cousins all came out : ) so much fun!!!! We got lucky because it was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day in Portland. Sunny skies all day long.

I love, love, love photographing babies/infants. Especially cute ones with amazing expressions. They rock!!! Maverick's so stinking cute, and only 2 weeks old. He made the funniest faces. My favorite part about babies are their hands and feet. So tiny, and intricately designed. It's amazing.

Yesterday I shot a wedding with my good friend and fellow photographer Jared Birt at Mt. Hood Organic Farms . This is one of the cutest venues for weddings, they have a ton of little cottages and gorgeous landscaping amidst their acres and acres of organic orchards. Here are a few new shots for my portfolio class final this term. This project was a BLAST to work on. Loved working with all the models and being the stylist and art director for myself. I'm so obsessed with the creative process it's not even funny. It always amazes me when an idea starts in my head, then I'll sketch and try to do a little "pre-visualization" and get more ideas on paper, then I line up the shoot with the people and clothes and locations I want and...... VOILA!!!! There you have it, my entire creative process over the past week...... enjoy.
